The Gotham Fund

Gotham Wins Bingham

The Gotham Fund is a multi-year fundraising program. It aims to raise sufficient funds to enable Gotham to continue to further its mission of diversity, competitiveness, development, and growth in rugby and to defend the Bingham Cup in 2012.

2011 With You T-shirts

For Gotham's 10th anniversary we brought back the With You! t-shirts from 2003.

 The shirt is Navy Blue in color. The front text reads "If you are reading you on a rugby pitch, I am With You!" The back text reads "If you are reading this on a rugby pitch, I need Support!"  The cost is $20. USPS shipping is $6.00 or make arrangements to pick up at winter training session or other arrangement.  Sizes range from small - 2XL. We have 100 shirts and they won't last long.

Gotham Wins in NY Sevens Tournament

2011 Sevens Team small

The Gotham Knights sevens team won the Bowl in the Mens Club Division at the New York Rugby Sevens Tournament on November 26th.

Led by captain Joe Hunt, the team lost their first two games before regrouping and winning their third to enter the quarter finals.

The Gotham Knights Board have started the preparation and planning in order to defend our international championship title at the Bingham Cup tournament in Manchester England.

IGRAB World Cup Champions 2010

Bingham Cup WinOn Sunday June 20th the Gotham Knights beat two-time defending champion Sydney Convicts, 18-15, to win the fifth Bingham Cup, held in Minneapolis. The Convicts had won the event in 2006 and 2008, after San Francisco Fog won the first two cups.

Sydney entered the title match the prohibitive favorite, having won the previous two Bingham Cups and knocked out the San Francisco Fog, winners of the first two titles, in the semifinal. Gotham proved to be a worthy opponent, and the two contenders put on a thrilling hard-fought show from start to finish.
