CLUB MISSION
The purpose of the Armory is to support the activities and goals of the Gotham Knights Rugby Football Club. These include, but are not limited to the following:
Attending matches and lending support from the in touch zone (a.k.a. sidelines).
Attending fundraising events and encouraging non-members to do so as well.
Recruitment of new members for the Armory and for the Knights rugby team.
Assist with publicity of events open to the public.
Independent fundraising events to draw in new Armory members and help with club expenses.
Other activities as may be designated by the Board of Directors.



MEMBERS
Anyone who supports the goals and activities of the Gotham Knights is welcome to become a member of the Armory. Knights on the injured list at anytime are especially encouraged to join the efforts of the Armory, to help make the members feel appreciated and welcome, and encourage others to join their ranks.

MEETINGS
There will be regular meetings of the Armory committee chairs and an annual meeting of all Armory members. The regularity will vary with the rugby season.

RUGBY SONGS
An important part of the social scene in many rugby related events, is the singing of rugby hymnals. GKRFC has adopted these few selected songs and invite you to join in the fun of belching out a few tunes during our drinkups (click here for lyrics).



SHELLY BLIDEN - ATHLETIC TRAINER/SPORTS PT
GK has been very fortunate to have Shelly as the team’s athletic trainer and sports physical therapist. Her extensive background in these areas coupled with her full time work as a paramedic came in very handy throughout our first season and made us the envy of our opponents. Shelly is also a sports nutritionist and resides in New Paltz, NY.

COMMUNICATIONS/CONTACT
The Armory has its own page on the Gotham web site and a separate e-mail list, which will also be incorporated into the larger Yahoo list. This will serve as the primary conduit for communications among Armory members. Contact John Vernon our Armory Chair for all inquiries or join our Yahoo! group.
